As an education nonprofit developed by teachers for teachers, our MISSION is to recognize and support teachers by offering active opportunities for engagement in purposeful content, aiming to increase retention and support the development of engaging lessons in the classroom.

2020

VIRTUAL ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES LAUNCHED

In 2020, Despite COVID - PBS launched the Coral project film and Ashley began outreach to develop a program to offer similar opportunities for other educators. The program highlights the needs of educators in the form of mentorship, resources, recognition as well as opportunities to engage and collaborate as a leader in education.

2021 Winter /Spring

AEM FOR EDUCATORS REACHES 10,000 TEACHERS

In 2021, Ashley Presented at the Sarasota Institute to address the need for an Educational Shift. She highlighted the Coral project and launched Authentic Exploration Matters as a nonprofit to help educators incorporate Research, Awareness and Action in their classes. Ashley met Kirstin through a mutual friend, Tim Rumage - currently a Board member for AEM. Ashley and Kirstin share a mutual passion for education. Kirstin has experience in travel and is a National Geographic certified educator and has been vital to the growth of AEM.
