Hello from the team at Authentic Exploration Matters(AEM). Most schools across the States are back in action. Educators often look for ways to challenge their students to go beyond the basic learning and engage in other meaningful opportunities to elevate standards aligned topics. This weeks Resource Roundup features competitions and other avenues that can help “challenge” students as individuals and/or groups. This type of learning can help students develop essential skills that are critical in the ever evolving global landscape. This includes problem-solving, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork to name a few.
These skills can prove beneficial both in the academic and a students future professional environment. Competitions and challenges can also be a strong source or empowerment and ownership, both of which can lead to creating a future of change makers that will help create a sustainable planet and global community. Looking for a more specific challenge that you don’t see here? Simply contact us and we will be happy to help you find a challenge or competition that fits your requests.
AEM would also like to highlight our next Discovery Day which will be hosted with the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach on October 19, 2024. Check out our website and register for a day where you will get your feet-wet and hands-dirty as we learn about coastal and estuarine ecosystem conservation. You can register on our website at: https://www.authenticexplorationmatters.com/discovery-day.
We hope to see you there! We also welcome any resource requests for topics that you may be covering in your class. AEM is here to help elevate the educator community in the classroom and beyond. We are also looking forward to the upcoming OCPS Green Schools Awards banquet and hope to see some of your schools there!
