As we continue through this second half of the school year, we hope that you know we are here to help the educator community. Simply reach out with your resource, activity, or other request and we will see how we may be able to help you with it. The registration is now open for the March 2, 2025 Manatee Discovery Day Workshop. Simply visit our website and click the programs link. Then explore the Discovery Days. It is there you will find the link.
If you register prior to the end of January you will receive $20 off! We will also have another engaging workshop in April with the Ocean Research and Conservation Association(ORCA). You can find more information and register on our website for that option as well! Space is limited. Looking for a unique team or class experience? Let us know and we will see how we can help you develop and plan it!
This week’s Resource Roundup comes to you a day early as I will be away from my computer for the next week. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will get back with you as soon as possible. This week, we will focus on a few resources that center on the topic of using a systems thinking approach. As we know, this type of process provides a perspective on relationships, patterns, and an overall bigger picture. It also encourages a better understanding of complex problems by having people consider how all of the interconnected parts within a system interact and impact one another.
Engage students in a fun “Fishing” game to understand connections, explore Harvard’s Project Zero, connect students with multi-perspective thinking in “The Systems Game”, understand how technology can help students make connections to solutions, get creative with using art to elevate systems thinking, and more.
