Our Resource Roundup this week will focus on creative curriculum writing ideas. Our AEM Educator Ambassador, Susan Peoski, requested this weeks topic. Susan is the environmental sciences teacher and green team lead at Edgewater HS. She is passionate about engaging her students through innovative and creative strategies that prompt students to explore and understand the relationships that exist among nearly everything in the world. She values hands-on learning opportunities as a way to engage students with critical thinking. By using the right approach, creative lesson plans/curriculum writing can introduce new opportunities to encourage problem-solving skills among students, as well as help youth to develop their own original ideas. Thoughtful lesson planning can encourage exploration, free students to speak in their own words, and infuse creativity into the learning process.
